Origami

I’ve been doing origami on and off since I was 7 years old. I found this book on paper airplanes in the school book fair and that got me started. I don’t make any airplanes anymore, but here are some modular designs I’ve made over the years.

Modular designs look cool, but they’re pretty tedious to make because they require hundreds of the same unit. These are some of my favorite non-modular designs.

Since the 90s or so, some artists have made extremely intricate designs. I always wanted to try them when I was a kid, but they’re impossible to make from any normal paper you can buy, because the paper has to be thin and about 20 to 30 inches. So once I got older I got the tools needed to turn gift wrap tissue sheets into foldable paper. But now I’m so busy I rarely get to fold those designs, they take like 8+ hours to make!
